1. Una sfida per l′Europa. Turismo: opportunità o minaccia? (2005 – 2008)
Il sito del progetto Comenius “Una sfida per l′Europa. Turismo: opportunità o minaccia?” registra i risultati raggiunti nelle varie fasi del progetto attraverso la raccolta dei materiali elaborati dalle quattro scuole partner nei gruppi di lavoro nazionali e in quelli misti (studio di casi e prodotti di sintesi). L′archivio fotografico intende illustrare sia i lavori degli incontri transnazionali che le attività culturali a integrazione del progetto.
2. Education for the Future European Citizen By Tutoring – EFFECT (2006 – 2009)
The aim of the project is to adapt teaching and classrooms management to increase student′s achievement. By helping each other they develop abilities and responsible participation in the school life. These abilities are necessary for European citizenship. The exchanges of the experiences will help the partner schools to develop European identity. In particular our goals are the following:
1. involve students, teachers and parents in overcoming learning difficulties
2. promote awareness of European citizenship by sharing experiences
3. bring a change in the management in order to adopt new pedagogical approaches we plan to reach these goals through the following activities:
* peer tutoring (advanced help low achievers)
* cross age tutoring (older students help younger students)
* teacher tutoring (teachers are available, coaching)
* “parents council” to support teaching and student needs
* transnational meetings of staff and students
3. Common Constitution and Language Learning – CCLL (Comenius Network) (2008 – 2011)
Empirical research related to the referendum about Common Constitution has revealed that young people in Europe have not been informed enough of the Community and its Constitution. In order to stimulate pupils to be interested in debating European problems we have to develop a suitable didactic design and innovative teaching materials. Debating about Common Constitution produces an effective background to reflect on European identity and common policy because of the complex and fundamental questions.
According to “Bologna Process” teacher education is changing. This process will become more transparent by transnational cooperation and exchange between institutions of teacher training and instructing, between schools, universities, based on variety of opinion and transfer of experience. Establishing the platform to perform this process is the very aim of project. It would be achieved best in the type of activity provided by “Comenius network”.
Teaching material should be adapted to the didactic requirement of content language integrated learning in English and German according to the principles of “CLIL“. The entire network will be involved in performing this process through close cooperation.
4. Action Research on Clil (ARC) (2009 –2011)
The problem of common standards in education in the EU has been resolved to a large extent at the level of language standards by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) which, however, has left unresolved the problem of finding common standards for concepts and content. Such common standards would help both students who in the future may wish to seek employment in other countries and also assist students who move to another country with their family.
Most EU schools are already having to face the problem of how to help these latter students integrate socially and scholastically. Students′ needs and competences should be assessed and schools should be able to offer adequate linguistic and cultural education in order to favour the integration into the new community.
Teaching content through foreign languages can play an important role in bridging the gap between diverse cultures and in allowing students to acquire and share knowledge and competences using a common language.
5. Action Research on Key Competences in Europe– ACE (2012 – 2014)
The project is carrying out Action Research analysis of the state of the art of competence certification – especially transversal competences – in the 6 partner countries Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Spain and Poland
The main objectives of the partnership are:
– to develop materials to promote the acquisition of selected key competences
– to improve (existing)/create (new)/test instruments to measure (and certify) transversal competences acquisition for levels 3 and 4 (secondary school) in the realities of each participating country
– to encourage students′ involvement in their own learning process
– to exchange experiences so as to:
- identify, learn from and disseminate best practices
- create materials which will be made available to all schools through a web-site
- contribute to the Europe-wide debate on competence assessment
